Strategic Gaps
This one started as a challenge to myself. Could I build a different kind of life tracker? It had to be private, fun to look at, and something you would actually remember.
I did not want another list, and I did not want a sign-up wall. Your life is yours. So there is no account, and everything stays in your browser.
Design Logic
A dark theme with bright color
A night sky is dark, and the stars are the only things that glow. So I went dark and let bright color carry the screen. Everything else gets out of the way.
Big type and a clear hierarchy
People come here to read about their own lives, so the text has to be easy to read. I used large type and one clear thing to look at first on every screen.
Every kind of moment gets a place
An event can be positive, negative or neutral, because a life has all three. The big ones can go to the moon, which holds up to ten milestones. You can add, edit and delete events across about 20 categories.
The Experience
How I Built It
I wanted this to exist, so I designed and built it myself. It went from idea to sketch to live code in one week, refined over several rounds.
The first version, generated with AI, was flat and static. Adding motion and fading elements brought the sky to life. It started to feel like a real night sky, one you want to keep looking at.
The goal was a life tracker that is private, fun to look at, and memorable. Add a moment and it takes its place in your sky. Over time the sky fills in, and you get a picture of your life that is yours alone.
